Ars Scribendi was founded in Aachen by Prof. Werner Eikel in 1987 and is today one of Germany’s largest and most successful calligraphy associations. Operating under the name of Internationale Gesellschaft für Literatur- und Schriftkunst e.V., Ars Scribendi is registered as a non-profit-making organisation. At Ars Scribendi we are committed to encouraging actively the preservation and promotion of our cultural assets of literature and calligraphy. We supply our members with information and contacts all over the world.
We encourage new ideas and inspiration by organising informative seminars and events, with price reductions offered to members.
Our high-quality journal is published three times a year. Subscriptions are also available to non-members.
In an age of new media Ars Scribendi is facing an ever-increasing demand: Script and writing open up creative and meditative worlds of experience to everyone.
